MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure the model meets the brief at the right quality and on time to meet budget. 
  • To ensure the models built are world class and consistent with the LEGO brand and safe for interaction with guests.
  • Receive model direction from the Model Shop Supervisor, Team Leads and LEGO designers. 
  • Build 2D & 3D LEGO models using LEGO Digital Designer and LEGO Brick Builder.
  • Determines LEGO materials that will be required and places order with Brickstock accordingly.
  • Responsible for constructing and installing lighting into models as needed.
  • Working with Tech Department to ensure close coordination of the tech within the LEGO model.
  • Ensure all necessary information and documentation is reported consistently.
  • Ensures models are built in accordance with the structural guidelines so that the guests experience has maximum impact of the models. 
  • Resolves issues based on feedback from operations regarding installed models and shares this feedback and solutions with local and global LEGOLAND Studios teams. 
  • Promote best practice by utilizing previous build experience and knowledge.
  • Work with model shop designers and supervisor to ensure innovation by reviewing and analysing the suitability of the LEGO model process.

Qualifications & Experience

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Required to be at least 18 years of age.
  • Preferred knowledge of LEGO bricks and legal building techniques.
  • Knowledge of production process and/or architectural understandings is a bonus.
  • Analytical thinking skills and attention to detail with innovative thinking process that is flexible and open to change.
