We are now looking for a Retail (Operations) Manager for our exciting LEGO® Discovery Centre attraction in Brussels. 

LEGO® is a premium brand which connects with those young and old and the retail shop plays a huge part of every LEGO® Discovery Centre visitors trip, it is also a real attraction for LEGO® fan’s all over the city who want to get their hands on the latest LEGO® sets, making it a retail destination experience in its own right! As the Retail Manager, you will be part of the Senior Leadership Team to oversee the entire LEGO® Discovery Centre, ensuring every guest enjoys a memorable and engaging visit. This role goes beyond managing the retail shop; you will be at the heart of the action, enhancing the overall guest experience and driving operational excellence throughout the attraction.

What you'll be doing:

Are you ready to inspire a team to deliver magical guest experiences and to inspire the LEGO® builders of the future at the LEGO® Discovery Centre Brussels?


- You’ll be a role model in store for guest experience and a true ambassador for the LEGO® Discovery Centre brand, spending the majority of your time on the shop floor with your team to guide and inspire them to consistently deliver on all KPI and Mystery Visitor targets

- You’ll be a strong, motivational leader, recruiting and developing a top performing team

- Manage day-to-day operations, including retail, admissions and guest experience.

- Ensure operational efficiency and uphold the highest standards of health and safety and cleanliness.

- Collaborate with marketing and finance teams to drive visitation and revenue.

- You will have overall profit and loss responsibility for the attraction retail shop

- You'll build relationships with our LEGO® team and ensure the shop always has the correct stock levels at all times

- You’ll make sure that the Retail store is always sparkling clean and has excellent visual merchandising

- You’ll be passionate about achieving all of your set retail targets related to Spend Per Head, Cost of Sales Margin and Stock provision

Qualifications & Experience

What we need from you:

- Retail Shop Manager experience of a single site – ideally with a brand that focuses on guest experience

- Great people management experience

- You have experience of maintaining, ordering and forecasting stock levels

- You are passionate about guest service

- You have full understanding and analysis of commercial reports to increase commercial spend per head and drive revenue

- Good knowledge of retail sales systems is preferrable

- You have the legal right to live and work in Belgium/European Union
