Are you a visionary marketing leader with a passion for creating unforgettable experiences? Do you have a deep understanding of digital and traditional marketing strategies? If so, Merlin Entertainments invites you to embark on an exciting journey as our Vice President, Marketing APAC.

 

You will be at the forefront of shaping the marketing strategy for Merlin’s portfolio of APAC attractions. Reporting directly to the SVP Global Marketing, you will lead a talented team in developing and executing innovative, data-driven marketing campaigns that enhance brand awareness, elevate guest experiences, and drive revenue growth.

 

This role is designed for a dynamic leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands regional market nuances, and can seamlessly integrate global brand strategies with local marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement an impactful APAC marketing strategy aligned with Merlin’s global business objectives.

  • Campaign Excellence: Lead the planning, execution, and optimization of integrated marketing campaigns that drive customer engagement and commercial success.

  • Brand Management: Collaborate with the Global Brand team to ensure cohesive and compelling brand messaging across all marketing channels.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with the SVP Global Marketing, APAC Regional MD, and key stakeholders to adapt global marketing strategies to regional markets effectively.

  • Customer-Centric Approach: Leverage insights and analytics to deeply understand customer behavior, market trends, and competitive landscapes, ensuring data-driven decision-making.

  • Digital & E-Commerce Leadership: Work closely with digital marketing and e-commerce teams to enhance traffic, engagement, and conversion across digital channels.

  • Regional Marketing: Develop and support marketing plans for regional teams, ensuring effectiveness and alignment with both global and local strategies.

  • Team Leadership & Development: Inspire, mentor, and empower a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity and collaboration.

  • Performance & Budget Management: Provide strategic reporting and insights to senior leadership, optimizing marketing budgets and resource allocation.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in a senior marketing leadership role within a multi-market, customer-centric industry (leisure, tourism, hospitality, or entertainment preferred).

  • Strong expertise in both digital and traditional marketing, with a track record of delivering successful omnichannel campaigns.

  • Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, with experience managing diverse, high-performing teams.

  • Ability to balance global brand alignment with local market needs, ensuring relevance and effectiveness in APAC regions.

  • A data-driven mindset with strong analytical skills to measure performance and inform strategy.

  • Strong stakeholder management abilities, working seamlessly across different business functions and regions.

 

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in senior marketing roles, ideally within entertainment, hospitality, tourism, or retail sectors.
  • Proven success in developing and executing large-scale, integrated marketing campaigns, with an emphasis on digital marketing
  • Experience working within a global organisation and collaborating with international teams, balancing local and global priorities.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience in managing and developing large teams.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities, with a track record of using data-driven insights to inform marketing strategies.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work across functions and influence at all levels.
  • Proven experience managing large budgets and demonstrating marketing ROI.
  • A passion for the entertainment and tourism industry, with a customer-first approach to marketing.
