Due to continuing growth and development of Merlin’s attractions and brands on a global scale, we are looking for a Senior Procurement Manager - Europe to join our Group Procurement on a permanent basis. The role will be based at LEGOLAND Billund Resort office, with a hybrid element for those looking for more flexibility.

 

We're looking for a dynamic Senior Procurement Manager to oversee an equivalent annual spend of £50-£100M and supplier contracts exceeding £250k per annum.

 

Key Objectives;
🎢 Drive exceptional supplier service
💰 Deliver cost reduction initiatives
📜 Ensure seamless supplier contract management aligned with company policy

 

Main Responsibilities;

🤝 Negotiation Pro: Lead tender processes, renew contracts, and unlock savings through strategic supplier partnerships.

📑 Contract Expert: Collaborate with Group Legal to manage and execute effective contracts.

🌐 Relationship Builder: Cultivate strong networks across Merlin’s attractions, focusing on the EU region.

🛠️ Efficiency Pioneer: Streamline processes, consolidate suppliers, and reduce transactional workload with local teams.

🌱 Sustainability Advocate: Support environmental and ethical sourcing initiatives, championing a greener future.

🧠 Category Knowledge: Maintain in-depth insights into supply markets and regional needs.

Qualifications & Experience

  • A degree in Business or related discipline would be ideal but not essential,
  • Substantial Procurement experience is a must
  • Experience of leading and developing people and teams
  • A Professional Procurement qualification (e.g. certification) is desirable
  • Innovative thought and actions in relation to problem solving
  • Excellent quantitative and data analysis skills
  • Strong project management and process improvement skills
  • Strong negotiation, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and managing potentially conflicting views
  • Strong project management and process improvement skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including promoting benefits of team work
  • Ability to operate independently with limited business direction
  • Fluent in English and Danish. Good German skills would be ideal but not essential.
