Due to continuing growth and development of Merlin’s attractions and brands on a global scale, we are looking for a Senior Procurement Manager - APAC to join our Group Procurement team on a permanent basis. The role will be based at our Shanghai office, with a hybrid element for those looking for more flexibility.

You will manage supplier contracts, drive value initiatives, and enhance guest satisfaction through strong supplier performance. This role involves leveraging data analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities, negotiating contracts, streamlining processes, and supporting sustainability and ethical sourcing efforts. You will also;

💡 Value Creation: Identify opportunities through data analysis and collaboration to enhance cost, quality, and service.
📑 Contract Management: Lead tenders, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier agreements with legal teams.
🤝 Stakeholder Collaboration: Build networks, align procurement strategies, and streamline processes to reduce workload.
🌱 Sustainability & Ethics: Promote sustainability and ethical sourcing principles.
📈 Market Expertise: Stay informed on supply markets for relevant categories and regions.

• A bachelor degree in Business or related discipline
• A professional procurement qualification (e.g. CPSM, CIPS) is desirable
• Significant procurement experience in multinational companies is a must, as well as in-depth knowledge in multiple categories (esp. Marketing, Facility Management) in similar industries across APAC is desirable
• Comfortable with ambiguity and managing potentially conflicting views in a matrix organisation
• Excellent quantitative and data analysis skills
• Strong project management and process improvement skills
• Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation and negotiation skills, including stakeholder engagement and promoting benefits of teamwork
• Experience in leading and developing people
• Innovative thoughts and actions in relation to problem solving
• Fluency in English is a must and Japanese as a working language would be a big plus
