What you'll bring to the team

Merlin Entertainments is seeking a visionary Regional Commercial Excellence Director to drive commercial performance across Retail, F&B, Photos, and Games in the APAC region, to be based in either Singapore or Hong Kong.

In this key role, you’ll work closely with the regional LEGO Key Account Manager and support the Managing Director to maximise attraction spend, exceed budgets, and deliver exceptional customer experiences. Spending much of your time on-site, you’ll coach and support managers while influencing senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities include driving revenue and profitability, tracking KPIs, shaping strategies with global teams, overseeing outsourced F&B, Photos, and Games partners, and managing new concepts and CAPEX projects. You’ll also manage vendor relationships, ensure compliance, and lead a high-performing regional team. This role offers extensive travel opportunities, providing you with the chance to engage with various locations and teams. 

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • At least 10 years of experience in a senior retail position, with a strong background in delivering commercial excellence across a regional, multi-site organisation.
  • Proven track record in implementing and maintaining retail/commercial operating standards.
  • Extensive experience in driving and monitoring commercial performance across verticals such as Retail, F&B, Games, and Photography on a global scale.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking with the ability to prioritise efforts and maximise performance.
  • Exceptional business partnering and stakeholder management experience, particularly at MD and VP levels across Commercial, Operations, and Brand functions.
  • Skilled in developing long-term strategies aligned with company goals, seeing the bigger picture, and making decisions that ensure long-term success.
  • Proven leadership abilities to inspire teams and drive a culture of change.
  • Excellent influencing and communication skills across all organisational levels.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on assessing risks, resolving complex issues, and making data-driven, customer-centric decisions.
