We’re looking for a Global Corporate Communications Manager to join our Global Corporate Communications & Public Affairs team – a key role responsible for growing, shaping and safeguarding our brand and protecting our licence to operate in all corners of the world. 

This role is flexible globally on location (exc. APAC and West Coast USA), but you must be able to align with UK operating hours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting the implementation of our corporate communications strategy across all regions, ensuring a consistent and compelling corporate narrative.
• Managing proactive media engagement to enhance Merlin’s reputation and secure positive coverage.
• Supporting crisis and issue management, particularly in our home market, the UK.
• Developing a corporate news and content framework to showcase our mission, purpose, and key initiatives.
• Collaborating with teams across the business, including Internal Communications, Marketing, Content, and ESG, to align messaging and strategy.
• Monitoring media coverage to assess impact and flag potential risks.

• A strong background in communications and/or public relations, with experience engaging with the media.
• Proven ability to manage issues and crises effectively, with sound judgement under pressure.
• Exceptional writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to craft messages that resonate with different audiences.
• A collaborative approach, working cross-functionally to align messaging and create impactful content.
• The confidence to engage with senior stakeholders and external partners.
