Trade Account Manager Sales NL

Are you passionate about building strong partnerships and driving sales growth across diverse markets? This is an exciting opportunity to join Merlin Entertainments’ Trade Sales team, where you’ll play a key role in growing our presence in the Dutch market.

You will be responsible for selling all Merlin attractions to our local partners in the Netherlands. By nurturing existing relationships, identifying new opportunities, and delivering an exceptional customer experience, you’ll help us unlock the magic of Merlin for even more guests.

 

Who are you?

A result-oriented and commercially driven Trade Account Manager with strong strategic insight and demonstrable experience in building, managing and expanding customer relationships within the (inter)national trade. Specialized in developing profitable sales strategies, analysing market trends, and realizing revenue and margin targets. Strong in negotiating, category management and drawing up annual plans in close cooperation with key accounts and distribution partners.

With a customer-oriented mindset and analytical skills, you identify opportunities in the market and converts them into successful commercial actions. In addition, you have a hands-on mentality, perseverance and a natural flair for convincing internal and external stakeholders.

 

What you’ll be doing

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with regional accounts, ensuring consistent service and communication.
  • Implement tactical sales activities to align accounts with budget expectations and sales targets.
  • Ensure client satisfaction by understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the travel trade, as well as through retail, loyalty, and membership channels.
  • Conduct market research to uncover trends, opportunities, and potential growth areas.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements that deliver mutual benefits and long-term success.
  • Report sales activity to the Head of Trade Sales, reflecting on performance, wins, challenges, and future opportunities.
  • Represent Merlin Entertainments at relevant industry and partner events.

 

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Qualifications & Experience

    • 2+ years in sales account management, ideally within the attractions / tourism industry
    • Fluent in Dutch & English - Essential
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education
    • Strong commercial acumen
    • Intercultural skills adaptable to different environments
    • Analytic skills
    • Excellent communication skills paired with negotiation skills and persuasiveness
    • Flexible with fast-changing priorities and fast-paced environments
    • Strong organizational skills, multitasking, and hands-on capability
    • Proficient in Excel
